Special Education Teacher (SEIT) – Special Education Associates

Special Education Associates is looking for passionate SEITs to join our team, working with preschool-aged children (birth–grade 2) with autism, speech delays, and other developmental challenges. We serve all five boroughs, with strong presence in Bronx and Brooklyn and growing in Queens and Manhattan.
We offer full-time and part-time positions at $90/hr on our incentive plan, with the option to buy into our insurance package if you work 30+ hours. Our SEITs are supported by a Supervisor/Director, plus Admin Observers who provide classroom guidance and mentorship. We also provide ongoing professional development to help you grow in your career.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child
• Support social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists
• Track progress and adapt strategies to meet each child’s needs
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment

Requirements

• NY State Special Education Teacher Certification (Birth–Grade 2 or All Grades) or Special Education Permanent Certification
• 1 year prior experience with preschool-aged children
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable

Note: Candidates currently employed by the NYC DOE are not eligible. Former DOE employees must have a minimum one-year gap.
